Mod: Alien Exterminator - Bio Weapon V1.2

Description: This addon adds a bio-weapon that targets festron and amoeba citizens on your planet and kills them.

Notes:

• Thank you to Draver, Old-spider, and Zetta for your help and input while I was developing this mod
• The way it works: It adds 2 new technologies. The first one is called "Eugenics" and requires colonial biology so it's relatively early game if you go for it. It buffs your citizens stats. The second technology requires the first and is called "Targeted bio-weapons". Once you research it, it unlocks a building called "Bio-Weapon Research lab". Build that and it unlocks a durational project on all your planets called "Disperse bui-weapon". If you build the durational project on a planet, it will infect all citizens with a disease. The disease has no effect on citizens that aren't Festron or Amoebas. They are essentially asymptomatic carriers. They can spread the disease but it doesnt harm them. If the citizen is a Festron or an Amoeba then the disease kills them. so if you have a planet with carriers on it and a festron or amoeba spawns on the planet then the disease will spread to them and kill them. To improve your odds have 2 or 3 carriers on a planet because it takes a turn to spread then takes another turn to kill so if you only have 1 then sometimes the festron or amoeba can kill your citizen first. In that scenario the disease usually spreads but on the next turn kills everything leaving you with 0 population and you have to send a colony ship to add a new citizen to the planet to kick start things again. As long as you have 2 or 3 carriers on a planet then Festrons or Amoebas can't take hold while you arent looking. Amoebas are more of a problem than festrons because in the game code amoebas have a 50% chance to convert a citizen each turn and festrons have a 5% chance.
